Radiator Problem

  • NB - don't try fully removing the bleed screw and prodding it with a piece of wire if (a) the rad water is hot, and (b) the rad valves are open.
You won't believe the fun in trying to refit a teeny wee screw against a spurting jet of hot, chemical-laden, water - everyone around you will laff.
With both rad valves closed, there should still be enough residual pressure inside the rad to indicate whether an 'unblockage' has taken place - pfffft. Or, after probing, slowly open the TRV, ready to shut it off again if needed.

Although the comments about a blocked bleed valve are valid, it seems strange that it would happen on two separate radiators.

I have 2 radiators in different rooms which are piping hot near the bottom but barely warm towards the top. I've tried bleeding them but no air or water is coming out of them,
