Fake Christmas card linked to sale of house

This will sound a bit weird but my partner and I received a hoax Christmas card from people we have never heard of inviting us to get in touch by text (there is no number) as there is so much to discuss and good luck with the sale of our house. Has anybody else received something similar? You can tell the card is printed not handwritten. The tone is quite sinister. Interestingly, we received it by hand and on the same day somebody tried to access our Microsoft accounts. Feeling a bit freaked out!

It couldn't be innocent in that they meant to deliver to a near neighbour?Wouldn't worry about your Microsoft accounts so long as you have 2FA set up. I get weekly notification codes where someone is trying to hack me. They don't have the code so the account is safe.0

Why you do think it's a hoax?1

Is the house up for sale? Does it have your name on it?I'm guessing it'll be a house buying company chancing their luck with what's essentially a marketting leaflet, and they've been posted through all the local houses that are for sale. Though the missing number is weird.
I'd just bin it and move on with life. Though you could always keep it for a while in case anything weird happens later.1 -
They are not very successful scammers if they want you to text them and neglect to include the number to text. Have your neighbours received the same card? Is your house for sale?2

Unlikely to be a hoax. It's a marketing message.
Probably from a we buy any house company.1 -
If you're worried, you can set up something with the land registry that will alert you if anyone tries to do something with the register relating to your property. Hopefully someone will be along with the proper name and/or link!2

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?3
