Can someone advise on this please, i have received this as the first contact from DCBL. Previous  letters were sent from the parking company but to my old address. The original fine was £100 but £60 if paid in 14 days, i no longer have that option of course but my point is they wrote to my old address if at all......can i ignore or push to pay the original amount? any advice would be gratefully received

  • You have left your name visible on the letter.

Have a look on the Newbies thread as that will tell you what should be done.

I have reported your post, and so should you, because not only have you have left your name showing, you have also left your VRM and PCN number visible, immediately underneath this warning,

    It is not a fine.

Debt collectors are powerless and can safely be ignored.

As advised, please read the sticky Announcement for NEWBIES to determine how to proceed. Plan A is always a complaint from the keeper to the landowner and the keeper's MP.

They aren't now, the letter has been removed by the forum team.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

They were visible when you initially posted the image because whatever you tried to use to cover your personal data was not sufficient to hide it. However, as already mentioned, the forum team has now removed the image.

Obviously you don't pay a private parking charge, as NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST tells you. Regardless of facts. The industry is stinking rotten. Nobody pays.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
