Items that go continually unpaid?

This is a thread we've had before, but I decided to post again as I have another 'unlucky' item.
I don't know if other people have ever experienced this but occasionally, and it is rare, I get an item that does sell and never gets paid for, more than once.
I currently have an item on my private account, not a popular one so a niche market - sold it back in late summer by auction and it went unpaid. So on day 4 an unpaid strike was apparently recorded against the buyer, who I blocked and I relisted it as a BIN. Got an offer on it after about a month which I accepted, but again buyer never paid so day 4 go through the same blocking and relisting. Relisted it as an auction as I had several watchers, It sold on Friday night- and once again it looks like it is going unpaid. What is it about this item that attracts time wasters - I think this time it might go into the charity bag after Christmas and I'll be done with it.
