The wind has eventually blown away though it's left the rain behind, it's due to get worse this morning. I have to go out later to collect and deliver a wee bouquet of flowers, apart from that my day is free. The class yesterday was good, we'll all miss it when the leader goes off to India for six weeks. A couple of us have agreed to meet up once a week to do a bit of the exercises. I've bought a couple of kettlebells for home, I find the a but easier to hold though getting them upstairs yesterday took enough effort for a fortnight. 😂
Thanks @DP1 for sharing your little one's latest cheery exploits. @Mehefin and @Yorkslass and @SO - special hugs for the coming weeks, it'll be tough though the happy memories will also pop up.Keep warm everyone.14 -
Morning all
I didn't manage much once home yesterday beyond a dog walk and wrapping a couple of parcels. In work for longer today so unlikely to achieve much more. No urgency for anything though and still a week to go.Really looking forward to some even slightly longer days - the last few mornings have seemed so dark. I do like winter but not these days so much.Sorry - not much else to say
Hope everyone has a good day

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It seems to be dry here, don't know what the forecast is.
We returned yesterday after a good weekend with family, we were staying in the Peak District, lovely countryside. DH took some good photos.
He's got an appointment for an MRI scan today, he's not looking forward to that, but it's part of the investigations the Dr wants him to have.
That's the main event today.
Hope everyone has as good a day as they can. Thoughts to the sad or poorly people, I know it's not a happy time for everyone.
Take care folks.14 -
HI. I'm fairly new on the forum and I keep seeing these daily thread - what are they meant to be for, please? I don't know if I should join or not!12

@Scarlett - I had an MRI back in June, it wasn't a pleasant experience. I managed the 40 minutes by repeating a couple of sentences in my head which almost put me into a kind of trance. So much so that the radiographers had to shake me even though I wasn't asleep. Good luck to your OH today.@AA - the less dark the better for me!13

Morning all
Dry here but feels a bit colder I have put the heating on for a boost as I have 8 people coming today for a Christmas party all of my guys will be here and a couple of friends and the people they look after, I have some rolls to make up and some pizzas to cook but I can do that when they get here my friend will help it won’t take long, I shall put a couple of Christmas films on and we will probably play some games.
Dinner tonight will be chicken casserole with rice I shall make it this morning so it’s ready to shove in the oven once my guests have gone, I need to have a quick tidy and run the hoover over.
Scarlett good luck to your DH today I must admit it was not a pleasant experience for me either I got through it by counting to 600 three times in a row which took me to just over 30 mins, obviously it is not painful in anyway for me it’s just being in a small space and being unable to get out, hope it goes well xx
TA hope you are ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx13 -
Morning All
Red sky this morning ( shepherds warning ?)
Scarlett, when I had my mri in January I recall they asked me what music to play and like Gers it helped me relax.
Our friend was transferred on Friday afternoon and had a ct scan yesterday.
I'm off to docs shortly and then we will go over to see him. New hospital is just over an hour away so we should get there after doctors rounds to see what they say.
TA hope you are ok and resting up x
Snoozer hope Ebsen is better today
Sending everyone hugs who needs/wants them
Stay warm,dry and safe

Morning folks. Profuse apologies for my absence over the past days but I am here briefly clutching my sick note. Everything is a total effort just now but the anti b's should kick me into shape soon, hopefully. Meanwhile it will be another sofa day as it's all I am fit for. It's most unlike me but I have no appetite or longing for anything and have lost half a stone over the last week! But it's not a diet I would recommend!
Hopefully normal service will resume soon. Take care all, stay safe x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"15 -
Lovely to hear from you TA hope the anti bs kick in soon Take it steady
