But won't they get credit card chargebacks? Or, perhaps that doesn't matter, because they grab what money they can and scarper?
They do normally post something, and it will normally be delivered in many weeks.

To do a chargeback normally you would then need to pay to post back whatever arrives to China and for it to track as delivered back. The cost of sending stuff there is often prohibitive and many seem to just cease tracking when they are in the far east.

If you contact the company in Q they normally further discount the goods and you end up accepting your loss because the cost of return is too high and the loss is too small.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way OP, but if you can't see straight away that this is a scam site then internet shopping may not be for you, and if you really must buy stuff online you should stick to Amazon or Tesco.
Thank goodness for your insight there, @outtatune

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

They will offer a full refund provided you return the goods tracked to China.

Well that's what they say, but there are many user experiences that show that even if the customer was driven enough to post the item back, the seller generally refutes that they received it or refuses the delivery.

If the OP does not know what to look for, then at lest use a scam website checker before parting with either information or money.

Just tried 2 with the info supplied. Take a look at what turned up:

That’s interesting. Of course, the website I posted is obviously a scam, and I wonder how well those two checkers would do with less obvious scams?

If you go over to the Consumer Rights section of the forum there's normally a "scam website" posted every few weeks if you want to test them out.

Some of them are scams, some are ones you wouldn't buy from probably if you had all the information and others lay somewhere between. When you see a website setup by someone overseas how are intentionally targeting the UK market there are some fairly obvious signs on the website, things could get harder were they to start using AI but on the basis of the fake txt the other day about my Mircosoft account they haven't managed to work a spell checker yet so we'll be safe for a while.

    1. It is always best to know what to look for on websites to indicate they may be a scam.
I doubt  website checkers will spot all scam sites.
If you use three or four different website checkers & most of them warn you about that website, keep away.

    2. I use the website checkers below as an initial filter. You can test them & make up your own mind.
    https://check.getsafeonline.org/
    https://www.scam-detector.com/validator/
    https://www.scamadviser.com/
    https://fraud-detector.eu/test-the-reliability-of-websites/

    3. Think of adding the following two browser extensions, from well respected companies to increase security when visiting websites.
    Malwarebytes Browser Guard
    Emsisoft Browser Security

Not a single bricks & mortar address, phone number etc...

Did you find it on Social media?
Walk away. Loads of these sites popping up in Consumer rights section,
    Not social media. Google Shopping.
