TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “KISS FM X VOXI Mobile - KISS CHOSEN ONE” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms should be read with our general competition terms at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html which also apply to this Competition.

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail.

 

1.   Competition

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS

Online entry is free of charge.

 

Entries are restricted to one entry per person.

 

2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN  

To be eligible to win, entrants must go online to https://hellorayo.co.uk/kiss/ and submit the following:

 

1. Full name and contact details.

2. A 10-minute video of you showing us what you can do on the decks and why you are better than the rest. In the video, please intro yourself and tell us why you think you should be the next KISS Chosen One. We are looking for tune selection, technical ability and presence behind the decks. We are looking for Dance music, no other genres will qualify for this competition. 

 

All valid entries will be gathered and judged subjectively, based upon talent, personality, and suitability for this competition.

 

We will be shortlisting entries from the close of the competition on the 19/01/2025 at 23.59 until the 03/02/2025 at 12:00. When contacting the shortlisted contestants, we will require the entrant to coherently explain their video entry. The entry must be entertaining and match the entry that was entered online.

 

There will be three stages to this shortlisting.

 

Stage 1- 19/01/2025 - 03/02/2025

 

All entries on the online page will be reviewed and a shortlist of 3 people will be generated. This shortlist will be decided by the KISS production team and an independent judge. This will be subjective, based on who the judges feel is most suitable to go through to ‘Stage 2’.

 

Stage 2- 03/02/2025 - 07/02/2025

 

We will contact the final 3 contestants during this time period and give each one the chance to ‘take over’ the KISS Mix Block (during KISS breakfast). This ‘takeover’ will entail one finalist per day being on KISS FM (10/02/2025 - 12/02/2025). During this takeover, they will have the chance to tell the KISS audience why they should be the next KISS Dance DJ. We shall also release short videos of each of the 3 finalists, on social media channels. What is required of the finalists for this takeover will be fully explained to them by a member of the KISS production team. The Kiss production team will also liaise with them on the logistics and requirements of the finalist to produce this pre-recorded on-air segment. By entering the competition, you are agreeing to be filmed and feature in content across KISS and VOXI Mobile social channels. 

 

Stage 3 – 14/02/2025

 

Following stage 2, there will be a big on-air finale during Majestics Friday night show on 14/02/25, with one finalist from the shortlisted three being chosen as the winner. This decision is again subjective and will be the choice of the KISS production team, with the assistance of an independent judge. The KISS production team will base this decision upon how the 3 finalists performed on-air during stage 2 on the KISS Breakfast show. The reactions of the KISS audience on social media will also be taken into account when making this decision and will form part of the judging process. In order to undertake this final stage, the finalists will be invited into the KISS studio on 14/02/2025 to showcase their talent on air one last time, with the eventual winner being announced live that night. More details of what this entails will be given to the finalists by the KISS production team after stage 2. This will require all 3 finalists to come to the KISS studio in London on 14/02/2025 during Majestic’s evening show (19:00-22:00). By entering this competition, you agree to be available on this date. Travel and accommodation will be provided by Bauer Media.

 

Being called during the entry period does not mean that the entrant has won, and they will only win when being told they are the winner* by the production team.

 

3. ENTRY PERIOD Start Date and End Date.

 

Pre-registration: from 16/12/2024 at 00.01am (Start Date) to 19/01/2025 at 12:00pm (End Date).

 

The on-air competition will take place on KISS Breakfast the following time and dates:

• Monday 10th February 2025 – Wednesday 12th February 2025 from 07:00 – 10:00

• FINALE – Friday 14th February 2025 from 19:00 – 22:00 

 

Finalists will be informed of exact timings ahead of being brought to air.

 

Entries received before the Start Date/Time or after the End Date/ Time will be invalid.

 

Winner Announcement: The name and the hometown of the winner will be announced on the KISS Radio Breakfast show or on request by emailing win@bauermedia.co.uk during the time the competition round sits within.

 

4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS • Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.

• Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter.

• We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Specific Terms.

· Prize Packages for two (2) people are for two (2) adults, all of whom must be available to travel across the 21st to the 24th of February with the same itinerary; 

· Economy flights from London only (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees, and duties); Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available; Flight itinerary will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion; 

· Travel arrangements, including costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner or companion/s’ home and UK departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the responsibility of the winner and their travelling companion/s; 

· Both persons travelling must be over the age of 18 years old;

· Accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing one (1) double occupancy room in Dubai with check-in on the 21st of February 2025 and check-out on Monday 24th of February 2025; Accommodation will be selected by prize provider at their sole discretion;

· A valid credit or debit card for incidentals may be required to guarantee your room on check in and therefore at least one of the travellers must possess and travel with a valid credit or debit card; 

· The prize excludes domestic ground transfers, meals and drinks, hotel incidentals, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package; 

· All elements of the prize are subject to availability; if unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal monetary value may be offered at the prize provider’s discretion; 

· Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. Travel insurance provided is a basic single-trip policy and it is the responsibility of the winner and/or their companions to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their companions are aged 70 or over; Levels of coverage will vary and it is the winner and guest’s responsibility to ensure that the level of coverage offered is sufficient for their circumstances;

· All travellers will require a passport valid for at least 6 months on date of travel; any necessary visas or additional insurance are the responsibility of the winner and guests; 

· If the winner elects not to, or is unable to, use part of the prize, the winner will forfeit that part of the prize package; 

· Prize must be taken in accordance with government guidelines and COVID-19 rules and restrictions in place at the time of travel, the arrangement and additional costs for any COVID-19 testing, quarantine accommodation or anything else that may be required is sole responsibility of the winner and guest;

2.    INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY AND CONSENTS. By entering this Competition, you are consenting to our use of your entry both to publicise this Competition, our radio station or any other radio station which we own or control. This means that we may use all names, images, descriptions, photographs video footage, and other information, which you have submitted on entry, in any media, without paying you any remuneration therefore and without any time restriction. You also agree that we may film, record or photograph you in connection with the competition and /or the Prize if applicable. We will own these films, recordings or photographs and we may use them publicly, including on the internet, for our radio broadcasts and/or for any promotional purposes. You will also have waived any moral rights or right to payment that you may have had.

 

3.    MISCELLANEOUS.

 

• Entries which do not comply with these Specific Terms or the General Competition Terms and Conditions will not be accepted and any entries may be disqualified if we have any reason to suspect that there is a breach of, or non-compliance with, these Specific Terms.

• Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable. In the event of any dispute about any answers given and whether they are correct, we reserve the right to amend what we deem a correct answer, however we are not obliged to, and our decision in either case is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

• We are not responsible if you fail to get through when you call / text to enter, or if you lose signal during a call.

• You are responsible for all costs of entry and where necessary, obtaining the bill payer’s permission. Please refer to your tariff with your network provider for information about charges you may incur for entry into our competitions via any SMS or phone call entry route.

• We accept no liability for network, technical or signal errors, issues or failures experienced by entrants when entering the competition or at any stage during the mechanic of the competition.

• Whilst on-air, you must not make any inappropriate, profane, indecent, harmful or offensive statements. If you do so we reserve the right to take you off-air immediately and disqualify you from the competition. You may be also disqualified from the competition at any time if you are incomprehensible, inaudible or if you appear to be driving, intoxicated or likely to offend listeners. Any prize already won may be withdrawn and re-awarded to another entrant.

• As far as it is lawful to do so we exclude our liability for any losses suffered in connection with the Competition or any element of the Prize.
