Morning all. Dull and grey again with gusty winds, but relatively mild. At dusk last night the sky turned from pink to a deep purple, not sure what that was all about but it was lovely to see.
Thanks for the start @Gers, take care today in the blustery weather.
@mehefin - Good luck with the eyeballs tomorrow. It would be nice to get the all clear for Xmas but I expect you might have to wait for the results. I have an occasional wobble too, usually over something insignificant - I'm not looking forward to Xmas at all this year.
@snoozer - Sorry to hear your present wrapping has been scuppered, hope E & E recover quickly.
@SO - Wool! My weakness, but I daren't buy any more yet, there's plenty in the stash!
@-taff - Would that be "fork handles"? Thanks for the carol, that one always makes me a bit teary but it's a good'un.
The pea & ham soup was made yesterday so that's a few lunches sorted out and now I'm contemplating what to have for breakfast. It might be just cereal with a few grapes. Gammon, egg & chips for tea.
No particular plans for today but there's plenty on the To Do list to choose from so I'll not be idle.
Have a good day all whatever you're doing and take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.10 -
Hello all, it seems milder today but we have had some rain. I'm going up Dad's in a mo to deliver his shopping and as usual he remembered some items he wanted after it was delivered. I've told him to write what he needs on a pad as he goes along but apparently no. He's got plenty in anyway and says he's not eating much but next week we'll give him some xmas goodies to eat. I must pop to the village pharmacy first though just to drop in our repeat scripts.
I have stripped the bed this morning and put the bedding in the wm so I'll get it washed when I get back. Later I'll remake the bed after it's aired a bit.
Have a good Monday everyone, hugs to anyone in need.

Hello from Mehefinland
Just back form the horspital after the dreaded field test. What is it about looking for little blobs of light makes you go stupid, and trigger happy on the clicker thing? Anyway they were pretty pleased with the outcome 100% in right and 98% in left. Back in 6 months for round two. At least I won't have to worry about that over the festive season. Was going to call in to the big Tesc0 in town but the cars were queued out onto the road and it looked manic. Nothing urgently required so it can wait although it is nice occasionally to have a mooch around a big store. All my local ones are quite small in comparison.
DS got home safely and called later. Was a strange couple of days. Those of you worrying about me will be pleased to know my mood has lightened (probably as a result of two positive outcomes through the NHS!) and I DO appreciate your thoughts and good wishes.
Need to get my skates on and do the rest of the horsey chores, and have some baking to do later too. Hopefully a bit better than my last attempt and Bara Brith! The oven is temperamental and it got overcooked even though I had followed he recipe religiously!! Its all right if you cut the crusty bits off - it certainly tastes ok lol. Have a recipe for Baileys coffee fruit cake, which will use up some of the stash ( it was Dawn's favourite tipple and there's a couple of bottles lurking which need using).
Hugs and spoons as always. Take care all and keep warm and safe.

Hello everyone,
Sorry I didn't get back on over the weekend- I didn't do any present wrapping either!
Little one was meant to have a friend going to play on Saturday afternoon but her daddy cancelled as she was full of cold so little one rang suggesting she could come and play with me instead 'and I might as well just stay for a sleepover Granny? We had a lovely afternoon - she wrapped her mummy's presents (they may take a while to open!), made her a beautiful Christmas card, we decorated my tree and draped some fairy lights around the living room - finishing off with hot chocolate in the dark with twinkly lights and candles, which little one thought was wonderful! I did have to put the lamp on to read Christmas stories before she went to bed.
Much of the same on Sunday as I had brought some Christmas crafty bits home from work for her, as well as a visit to my mam and dads.
Yorkslass - little one spent the weekend writing lists of what we had to do and crossing things off - after we had tidied up her craft stuff yesterday afternoon, I lay down on the kitchen floor - 'what are you doing granny?.
I said it says 'lazy afternoon on your list, I'm having a rest' - leading to much silliness as we both had a 'rest' on the floor....
So I still have presents to wrap, but I have a week. Cards still to write too, I'll maybes get them started tonight.
I don't have anything to buy now, other than food.
I had to order a new litter tray this morning - little cat pees in the most annoying way, so it comes out of the bit where the box clips together and soaks the floor. I've ordered one with a higher back, so hopefully that will stop the wet floor.
Right, must wash up x9
