If you do have to have the wifi switched on to use bluetooth, make sure that the laptop is not connected to the home wifi. Delete the know networks so that is it on but not connected to anything.
I am just going to try this out!

    Back shortly!

    ----------------------------------

I am afraid no luck so far trying this.

    a.    The slider Wi-Fi switch on the front of the VAIO is pushed to on. (In the casing of the laptop.)

    b.    In the bottom right corner on the scree, I clicked onto the Vaio Smart Network icon.

I switched the "Wi-fi LAN button" to off, so that it is not connected to my BT Hub. I left the "Bluetooth button" switched on, but it is not connecting to the Bluetooth Player.

So it seems to be all has to be switched on or this Bluetooth JVC Player does not connect.

(Is that how you meant for me to try it?)

Thanks for trying to help, 400ixl.

No other Windows 7 device is ever attached to the Network. And when those downloads came down, the Windows 10 HP laptop was switched off. So I do think they came down straight into the Vaio.

OH MY WORD.... I HAVE FOUND MY SOLUTION!!

I have had 2 small HP laptops before this big one and I used them just for the internet. In those days I needed something to do a CD Restore Backup when you first purchase the laptop. Neither had a Drive.

I have suddenly just remembered that I purchased a Sony DVD/CD rewritable drive in 2010 to do this. (I did not even realise it was a DVD Player until just now!)

I could not get it to work on the previous laptop. I think it was a Windows 7 Compatibility issue, from memory. Or it would not let one save the Restore onto CD's any more. (I actually did it on a Pen Drive). So I completely forgot about this drive and considered it to be obsolete!

I have just remembered it and connected it to my HP. Can you believe it. It is actually working on here. And I can view it because I had a drain Survey done and had to download the VLC Media Player to view their drain video!

So I can now watch my DVD on this Sony player on my HP which is fully anti-virused. (And maybe hopefully also connect it to the TV screen, too.) The sound is indeed coming out of my Music Player at the required Volume.

Everyone, I am so very sorry to have bothered you all. I thank you all for your patience and your explanations.

Shall I start a Museum of old Tech? (And put myself in it, too.)
