Planned changes to Vinted?

I received two offers on Vinted items in the last day. In both cases accepting the buyer's offer would result in my item price being lowered for everyone. I know how Vinted works so I am not making the error of looking at the listing / price as it would appear to the person I made the offer to. The first time I got no warning and the price was lowered so I manually edited the item price back to the price it was at. The second time I seen a warning telling me "Accepting the offer will update the price for all buyers" so I declined the offer and instead made an offer to the potential buyer for the same amount.
Customer services told me I am part of a group that has been selected to try changes to Vinted. I don't know if Vinted will implement these changes, but they seem to be for the worse and with profit in mind. I understand Vinted automatically lowering an item price might encourage watchers of the item to buy, but I think it is down to me who I choose to make an offer to. I am trying to give feedback on this but if they do make this change I will have to stop accepting offers.
It seems to be like ebay in the sense that they are trying to fix what is not broken. Constantly meddling with the app will have to result in dissatisfaction in the long run.

It looks like we are all on the trial as this is being mentioned all over.
As you say if you accept an offer from someone then that same amount is automatically shown to any other interested person. They have also removed the maximum offer which was 40% of the original price, so buyers can offer whatever they want. There’s one person in a FB group who has posted up a screen shot to prove this as she had an offer of £5 on a bundle that was well over £100. I’m certainly getting offers of half price or less from buyers.
As usual though Vinted made no announcements and just implemented this without warning.

I did a search this forum but couldn't find anything on it. The worst thing about it is that the price would no longer be determined between buyer and seller. If I agree a price with a timewaster who makes an offer but doesn't pay then Vinted will take the price offered to the timewaster and allow that user to determine the price. For example I accepted approximately ten offers on a men's watch of different amount but none of them bought it. In the end I got close to the asking price from a user who offered me about £5 less. On many items similar things have happened but I got the full asking price. The only way I can see around it is to decline the offer and then make my own offer for the same amount. I certainly won't allow Vinted to price my items.0

Vinted is a great concept and I have been a regular user as seller and buyer. However, it’s really annoying that the company is now encouraging people to make ridiculous offers. I contacted them when I got the first 50 percent discount offer, and all I got told was that I had been selected for this trial and that I should watch this space, like this was a good thing!!
To avoid the situation whereby if you accept an offer, Vinted then automatically reduce the price 🫣and then you have the hassle of going back in and editing it if the person doesn’t purchase after all, I just tell the buyer what I am prepared to accept and let them either make an offer for that amount or walk away.I have already had one person get bad tempered over the fact that I wouldn’t accept their 50 percent discount offer.Vinted should have left this as it was, as it’s just annoying sellers who for the most part do put things up at very reasonable prices.1 -
I agree. It seems inevitable that when companies grow they do implement changes and pay little attention to feedback. I am also reminded of ebay's web development where webpages are constantly changed when there is no improvement to be made. Clicking on a user's feedback used to take you straight to their list of feedback. Now you have to click a number of times to get to the same point. They won't stop changing things and there is probably a profit motive behind it. I don't think they will care if it generates more revenue. If you want to give feedback here is the linkI should mention Vinted invited me to a webcam call to discuss selling about two weeks before it happened, but I didn't take part. They didn't tell me what it was about.

Can anyone clarify why a Vinted user can make an offer of £30 on an item I listed for around £130. I'm baffled. I tried to see if I could do the same in reverse but the system blocked me. I believe my offer needed to be around 50% of the price the item was listed at.

Thanks. The Vined app still won't let me make an offer with more than 40% off the price, but I can on the Vinted website on Desktop. It might be that I am on an older version of the app. Who knows?
