CCTV camera choice - ideally with PC connectivity.

Hi.
Looking for an affordable CCTV camera to replace the ancient SimCams I currently have.
Similar setup is fine - ie WiFi, loop-record onto camera-fitted SD card, remote access to image on phone App, alerts, that sort of stuff - but ideally looking for similar access via a PC as on the phone. Why the 'ell don't they provide Apps for PC as well? I mean, the Apps are tiny in terms of size, so why not also make PCs versions?!
I've used VLMedia player with the SimCam, but it's image-only, and that's it - it obviously cannot control the cameras in any useful way - motion-detection area, alerts, and stuff like that.
Sooo, anyone know of any cameras that also have PC App versions?
Or, if a camera uses ONVIF, what useful PC software could be used to at least monitor the images, record, and stuff?
Ta.

I have had good results with Reolink. Good VFM, if not pro -standard.
Good apps and easy PC access.1 -
Thanks, Chickie. When you say you have 'easy PC access', what do you mean? Is there a Reolink-produced PC App? Or is it via 3rd-party software?Cheers.0

Feel free to correct me but would any decent security cameras that record to a NAS (or USB drive in the case of Blink's sync module) which you can then access recording anyway?
Would an app-only view not be restrictive at least in the long term?0
