Any ideas - intermitent power loss from car!

I should add that I did have it scanned by a garage last week and nothing came up. This pedal test code and dash light is from today.0

I think this ECN converts to P0100-52.
P0100 relates to the MAF (mass airflow sensor).
The 52 is a more in depth subsection code, it's known as specific fault indexing.
Now I'm not fully up to speed on these subsection codes, but I believe it's a range/performance issue. (52 = voltage high).
It's not saying it's broken like with an open circuit, it just can't trust the reading as it's outside of expected range.
This could be the MAF itself, perhaps it's contaminated with dirt, but it could be a problem with something else.
Something like if the engine can't fuel properly, perhaps due to a post MAF air leak.
So for example, if the engine is sucking in unmetered air, the engine will run rough on it as it can't fuel properly and the powertrain ECU will start distrusting the MAF signal.
As the MAF is a hot wire system, the less air passing over it the higher the voltage it will return, which could be responsible for the 52 part of the code.0 -
Thanks again for the help here! I managed to get to my local garage this morning. After reading it with their code reader, they confirmed MAF and will take a look next week. Their guess was either dirty/faulty MAF or a crack in a hose somewhere so pretty much exactly as suggested by Goudy above.0
