Morning all
Dull and overcast here again but no rain. I got the tree up yesterday and it looks lovely I really enjoy all the lights it makes it feel much cozier some how.
OH is at the boot sale and dd not back yet so all peaceful here, dinner tonight will be a cottage pie which I will make this morning ready to heat through later I shall make the dogs one too for a treat we don’t have a roast in December so that the Xmas day one is even more special.
I got my cards done yesterday so just need to deliver them today and pop some in the post and I need to bring some presents down to put under the tree. We also need to put the outside cushions into the loft for winter.
TA I hope you are ok and just having a break xxx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Hello all, I slept in late this morning as I forgot it was Sunday and I am waiting for a sm delivery. As luck would have it the delivery hasn't arrived yet, phew. but I had already rushed around getting ready even though I asked for an alarm call from Mr Fix It. You give him one job....... Surprisingly only 1 thing is OOS and there are 2 subs, I thought that was really good for this time of year as there's a lot of xmas goodies in there. Now I only have the odd things to buy.
My haircut went well and she's the only one I've found that doesn't take off more than you ask for. She was surprised though to see that my hair is mostly straight now with just a bit of curl at the end, something I've longed for forever. I just need to grow it down to my knees now 🤣 The cancer has finally given me a positive !
The sunshine we had yesterday didn't last and we're back to the grey stuff, but it is dry so that's ok.
Remmie sad news for your DD's MIL. Hugs to all of you involved.
TA are you ok ? Hope you are just resting and can get well before xmas.
taff how on earth can you move a fridge freezer on your own, you really must be superwoman 🦸♀️
Stay safe to those who are having adverse weather.
Hugs to the poorly/sad ones or anyone having a difficult time.

Nah, you take the drawers out, empty the fridge bit, then shuffle it along to where you want it, drawers back in, job done...It's all on the flat so no lumping up and down stairs or anything. Same with moving anyhting big really. If it was a dresser or bookcase, you can walk them along, swing it forward and left or right, touch down, swing the other side, pretty soon you've got a momentum going and that's even easier.

Evening all from a soggy, horrible mehefinland.
The weather unfortunately matches my mood! Had a lovely afternoon tea with DS and the Toxic Troll at the vineyard. It was extremely rich and filling, and the place was heaving and extremely noisy. I'm glad they didn't bring the dogs. So to home and a sort through some of Dawn's clothes and shoes. Quite a lot have relocated to Dorset today. They left here about 1030 and it was very strange having an empty house once again. Must admit I had a wobble, but not really unexpected. I asked DS if he was going to visit his God parents before he went, and I just knew he wasn't going to, and the reason why! He knew he would get a chewing off as he's not coming home for this 1st Xmas without Mum. I was more disappointed than annoyed but what can I do?
Just finding things getting me down a bit today, although I am trying hard not to wallow. At least the horses made me laugh as they couldn't wait to get in out of the foul weather. Fairy came galloping in and I honestly thought she wasn't going to stop. Lots of huffing and puffing as a result.
Good news on Friday though as I was discharged from the Gastro enterology clinic at the horsepital. Absolute nightmare getting there and back through Cardiff traffic on a Friday afternoon though! Only field test for the eyeballs tomorrow now,and should be done for 2024. At least this is in a more accessible place.
Hugs and spoons as always
