Update - I couldn't get hold of anyone who knew it was possible for me to get E7, but they did suggest Go even though I don't have an EV. Their website says they will ask for details, but they never did, so I switched to go. It's better for me than E7 as the cheap rate is cheaper. Since then I've been using about 15 kWh/day and paying about £1.50 (not included SC) as I'm able to get almost all my use from the battery. The small amount at the peak rate is when I draw more than the battery's 3 kW limit, eg if using the oven and hob at the same time.

That's not the outcome I'd expected but I'm glad you got it and it works for you!

The main question now is when to request a switch back to Flux for the better export rate in the spring, bearing in mind that it took quite a while to switch back last time. I assumed it would be straightforward switching from one export tariff to another but they seemed to treat it in the same way as signing up for export for the first time, needing the certificate, DNO letter etc all over again.Solar install June 2022, Bath
