Extra Large Chicken, British, Red Tractor - ALDI   2.19kg   £5.19.
Extra Large Chicken, British, Red Tractor - ASDA  2.25kg   £7.09.
    QED!
Extra large free range chicken minimum 2.3 kg - Waitrose £6.79
That’s amazingly cheap for free range !
    Cheapest I can see is 1.6kg for £12.90 https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/no1-british-free-range-whole-chicken/981132-828845-828846

I think the £6.79 must be the price per kilo, because it is 20 years since I have seen a free range bird that cheap.
    Absolutely my thoughts too

Asda is having financial problems and it has just axed a number of regional manager posts.

The reward scheme is now very mean indeed. There are no reward points to be had on anything remotely fresh, it's as if they want to kill us with ultra processed branded products.
None of my rewards are on ultra processed?

I have £2 WYS £20 on fresh meat, fish or meat alternatives
Buy 5 fresh bakery items, get 50p
    Cleaning one
Buy any 4 frozen items, get 50p

Star products, I have found are very rarely on fresh things sadly but I never look at them, I shop online as usual and if it happens to be a star product then great but if it isn’t it’s no biggie. My cashpot is £9 so far this month which is much more rewarding than I would get anywhere else.

The Asda algorithm is well aware of my spending habits and are purposely trying to entice me to things I neither want nor need, and spend unnecessary. Food has become a lot more expensive these days, and the 5% cashback returns just pennies into my cashpot.

I'm hoping we might see some decent star products from February! Or a cashpot spin, that would be nice!

No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.

Just checked my new ones, missions going along nicely, milestone missions one left to complete, 4 coupons for things I will buy, star products are a shed load of herbs in jars, nut bars.
Up to £10 now in my cashpot so definitely not 5% of my spend
