    Have you considered switching to Linux Mint? There are three versions suitable for different specs of hardware.

    Option 1 is the best . On YouTube you can look up which version to try. 
     
    1. Consider switching to a version of Linux (suggest Linux Mint for beginners).
    2. Buy a new computer..

    That method is a clean install of 24H2 for those who had problems updating unsupported hardware from 23H2.
    Pease do not copy/paste that weblink, it redirects to spam. I have reported it.
  • Thanks, I did click on it but within  software called Sandboxie which isolates your computer from a sandboxed browser, use it all the time for dodgy links, free software, though a nag screen sometimes to buy a licence.

    Neglected to mention that the AMD Phenom II X4 945 has SSE 4.2 within it's specification. So you should be okay in that regard. Up to Oct '27 as aforementioned.
