I am looking for some advice please! 8 weeks ago I took out an iPhone contract with Tesco mobile online, to receive a Samsung Ultra. I returned the device and took out an iPhone contract in the Tesco store due to my phone being broken (I was advised to do this by Tesco mobile). I rang tesco due to never receiving a refund for the wrong device and Tesco have advised me that myself and DPD were investigated and the conclusion is that I am at fault and I sent Tesco a fake device, they are stating that they did send me an iPhone, not a Samsung. They are now trying to take nearly £900 out of my account and are saying it is a civil matter that I have to take in my own hands. Can anyone advise me with what I can do please?

Sounds like you'll need to cancel your DD with Tesco and set up a standing order for the amount you need to pay for the new contract. That way they can't raid your funds.
Then raise a complaint with them about how they have handled the situation including that you were advised by them how to deal with this and that it seems that advice was wrong.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
