Having recently subscribed to Windows Live (the old MSN), I note that after each typed instant message session, I was offered the chance to store what had been written. I declined. Now though I wish to obtain that facility. I think it's called message archive. But I cannot find this facility. Can anyone point me into the right direction please.

Go to tools, options, messages
There is an option there under 'Message History' to automatically save messages and select which folder to use. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Hi Bill. I am on Firefox and after Tools>Options I do not get that message history option. So I looked via IE and it isn't there either. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Ah yes. I've done that and noted that in Message History it is now ticked for automatically keep records of conversations and ticked for Show my last etc.
Followed by Save my conversations in:-
C:/documents & settings/C****/my documents
That took some finding and because I'd previously not requested them to be saved, clearly there was nothing there. I would like to have them more easily accessible. So where I am offered the option to Browse, where would you suggest I place them?
I've just noticed that via FILE>VIEW MESSAGE HISTORY> it says No messages saved. I assume now that I've discovered that, when I next use the facility and follow the above route, it should be be there. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Anywhere that's convenient to you e.g. create a directory C:/documents & settings/C****/my documents/Live chat and then point windows live to there, where they will then be stored. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
you can also go via plus on top toolbar then click preferences---conversations--- you can also put encryption password on if you dont want anyone else reading it:eek:0
