Morning all. It's so dull and dreary here and seems to be drizzling with rain now.
I've still got a rotten chesty cough, following on from my cold, so I'm hoping there's nothing worse to come. Hearing about all the people in hospital with 'flu, etc, doesn't help!
Free day today so I'm going to do some ironing followed by music practice. I'm playing with a group of friends at a small craft fair in Hemel Hempstead tomorrow - if I ever get parked there! After lunch I want to watch the final of Masterchef, but I've sadly seen the name of the winner online.
Have defrosted a couple of chicken thighs and will do fajitas for tonight, using some wraps from the freezer. The Christmas meal is now safely tucked away so I can see how much freezer space is left. I might try and make some florentines later, as I've bought all the ingredients and they are one of DH's favourite things.
@AlwaysAllie: those trees and the Cathedral look wonderful. Love the idea of the metal one.
@TA: how are you feeling? You didn't sound at all well to me
Cheers to everyone else and hope you have a good weekend.12 -
Morning all, just. I have been out and about this morning collecting scripts from 2 different surgeries and then hand posting xmas cards in the next village, I refuse to pay the postage on them when we were in the village anyway. I only have the neighbours cards to deliver now so that will be sometime next week, sadly my list is down to 5 as people have passed away and new younger neighbours have moved in which don't seem to bother with xmas cards. I'm back now with a warming coffee but thankfully that biting wind has dropped.
Yesterday I cleaned the bathroom, yay go me ! There was a time when I could clean the whole house in the time it took me to do one room 😁
Today I have an online sm shop to organise which will take me ages as Mr Fix It likes to help 😏 I'll add Dad's few things to my order too. He has the same things every time unless I prompt him, I suppose going to Aldi everyday and eating what takes his fancy from the shelves is a hard habit to break whereas I only shop once or twice a month.
taff don't give me ideas about the drowning 🤣 Thanks for the song it's Mr Fix It's favourite, now he'll be singing that all day !
Yorkslass don't encourage taff, her humour is wicked enough 😂
Gers thanks for the start off, have a good day if you can.
TA hope the cough has abated by now. Gentle hugs.
Scarlett hope you have a great time away.
dp1 bet you went through a boxful of tissues at the concert.
Sorry if I have forgotten you, my memory is not what is was.
Take care all, hugs to the poorly or sad onesFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10 -
Afternoon all, hope you are all well Struggling to find time to post atm. sorry Just been for a walk again with DH on his crutches up past the park. Strangely enough he managed an hour in the pub last night
, found a high stool he could perch on, DS took him and picked him up. It seemed to perk him up a bit seeing his Thursday pals!
