Good morning Gers and all to follow. Thanks for starting.
It's dry outside, as was yesterday, but what a cold, bleak day it was.
I went to T*sco for a few things, it was busy. I didn't need much, so wasn't in long.
We are going away today, will be home on Monday though. It's just a little break that we have most years with one of my nephews, we are later than usual this year. Usually we go between September and November. However it will be good to see him.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks.13 -

Morning all
I think I missed yesterday?! Another shopping trip with DMum and I think there is another one needed today - she can only manage a couple of hours with a coffee break midway so it’s a slow job.
Lovely evening at Worcester cathedral - like lots of places they have a display of Christmas trees decorated by local businesses and charitie etc and you could go at night which was lovely with all the lights - there must have been 60-70+. Some really creative decorations linked to some organisations and one all made from metal by a blacksmith!
A few little pics.Hope everyone had a good end of the week and best wishes for all those with worries and illnesses.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we've no place to go
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
Man it doesn't show signs of stopping
And I brought me some corn for popping
The lights are turned way down low
Let It Snow! Let It Snow!† + ☆ * ☆ ☆ * ☆ + †
Morning! Dull and cold today, but later on I'll be making wreaths with friends an having soup apparentlyA few of us are decamping to another friends house, which reminds me, I'd better take some twine, secateurs etc in case. Never hurts to be overprepared. Other than that, not a lot going on. I do have to get some tile trim, some wood for the door, and get my saw back off OHs friend. I've just stuck a piece of wood back on the edge of the table where it was broken and need to cut it down. This is the outside table which is now inside for the moment, at least the cats are using that to scratch again and not the door frames which is handy for them...[otherwise I may have to kill them]
Allie, lovely pics, need bigger ones, expecially the blacksmith stuff! NRA, fingers crossed for your friends transfer. Scarlet, hope your belated trip is good for you both. Gers, hello bright shiny new youCoxy, I hope your sil improves, it sounds awful for you all...Take care all, I hope you're all coping OK...

Morning everyone
Misty and dull here this morning.
Christmas lunch at school was lovely yesterday and the little ones behaved themselves and tucked in, especially to their jelly and ice cream!
Little ones' appointment went well and they delivered all the toys they had collected for the ward she was on in the summer. She decided she wanted to be in last nights' Nativity performance so I went with DD to watch - she was so happy and sang her heart out, I was a very proud granny. She was still on her feeding pump, so it was a big thing for her to get up on the stage with her backpack on and her tube dangling.
DD is hoping her sugars will be back to normal this morning so she can take her off her feed and she can go to school for a few hours.
I managed to get some more wrapping done yesterday, so might take those presents down to mam and dads this morning, to get them out of the way. I'll have the banking to do this morning.
Right must get moving. Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning all
Dull and overcast here but no rain due. I have washing on the go I won’t bother hanging it out as the air is damp so it has no chance of drying.
DD and I are off to get the Christmas tree today and we will start to put it up I also clear the dresser and put all my Christmas bits Ive collected over the years on our travels and twinkly lights, I love it when it’s done but it’s quite a slog to get it done.
Having my nails done mid morning and hopefully a rest this afternoon in front of the fire.
Not sure about dinner I will go and look in the freezer after this.
Scarlett have a good weekend away xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Good morning all. It's just about light here and it looks like it's going to be another dull and dreary day. Winter has only just started and I'm fed up of it already! We're forecast to have a sunny day tomorrow, I do hope they're right.
Yesterday I cleaned the second armchair as planned but I don't think I have the energy to tackle the sofa today so will leave that for over the weekend. Instead, I'm going to trim up my new little Xmas tree and make some mince pies. A "gentle" day is in order.
A little movement on the sadmin stuff too with a letter received from DH's bank asking me to send them his Will (or a certified copy).
In the afternoon I had a phone call from my cousin; we had a lovely long chat and are planning to meet up after the festivities have finished. I was surprised when she told me she'd already received my card as I'd only posted it the day before with a second class stamp on it - well done, Royal Mail.
Tonight it's a fish tea and then I'll have a think about next week's meals. I have a small gammon joint to cook that will appear on the plan somewhere along with whatever I have in stores.
Hugs to anyone who needs or wants them. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8
