Euro Car Parks Fine

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked before but looking for some advice.

I just received a PCN through from Euro Car Parks. Long story short, I went to a restaurant with some friends, we were told by the restaurant manager when we leave to pay for the parking. When we left the restaurant we paid for our parking but then decided to stay for a drink leaving our cars where they were. It was a pay when you leave car park and we just didnt think about this nor was it clear due to the restaurant telling us to pay when we leave the restaurant.

Anyway, the parking that we paid for covered from 6.30pm- 9.30pm and we left the car park in the end at 10.50pm. There was a night rate charge of £2 total between 8pm- 8am. So we actually paid the correct amount but they are trying to apply a PCN because our parking stay that we paid for was from 6.30pm- 9.30pm, which feels like a technicality even though the cost of the stay between 9.30pm- 10.50pm would be no more...

What would be the best way to approach this? I thought about ringing them without incriminating myself to see if they would do anything (which I highly doubt).

Any help is much appreciated

Thanks,

Rob

You could try the appeal (will always be rejected) then POPLA and rely upon the ambiguous overlapping rates.  If you lose, so what, you won't ever be paying the PCN.

Ignore the £170 threatograms. Just ignore the PPC and their agents too. This will be nothing new. Not scary and not important.

Tell them if you move house.

Come back if ever you get a LBC (see the FOURTH then the SECOND posts of the NEWBIES FAQS thread, read them in that order).

    That's all.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
