Hello,
I am an appointee for my child and applying for PIP. He is currently in receipt of DLA.
He has ASD and attends a special school.
I have completed the PIP form as best as I could. I have his EHCP plan, should I send that with it.
I am not sure what else I can send with the pack.
Thanks

Yes include the EHCP and any other assessment documents you might have like educational psychology, occupational therapy etcsuperM said:Hello,

i asked the school for copies of their education plans and a letter stating his needs in school.0 -
Do you have a copy of the ASD assessment report? You can also send that. What I'd advise you to do before sending anything is to highlight the most important parts of the medical evidence. This is exactly what I did for my daughter's PIP back in 2019.3

Hi, I received a text message from Capita today for my child telephone assessment for next week.
My child will be in school but as an appointee they should be able to speak with me.
Just worrying what question do they ask or would they go through the PIP form I completed.
Appreciate for any advise which will help me before the assessment.
Thanks0 -
The questions are based on what was answered on the form. For example, I wrote I have difficulties getting around because of my sensory impairments and was asked about how I managed.
I was also asked things like what I do on a daily basis.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I would check that will just talk to you, rather than assume that they will just talk to you.

As noted the questions will be based around your answers -
Firstly they should go through the socail situation - housing type, those in the house, pets etc.
Then they will start with the two mobility activities and move onto the daily activities.
If youve got any activites in which there is no issue - they will check that this is still the situation and then move onto the nect activites.
Depending on the type of diagnosises (Physical, Mental health or Mental capcity (Apologises I cant rember the correct wording) ) depends on the activities affected. eg Activity 12 Moving around is a physical activity, if no physical conditions are declared then it would score 0.
The telephone assessment will be the same as the face to face assessment except for the physical assessment which was used for physcial conditions eg restrcited movement of a joint.Proud to have dealt with our debtsStarting debt 2005 £65.7K.

Sounds right, given Mrs today as this threw me out expecting them to be in the order you answer the questions. 👍peteuk said:As noted the questions will be based around your answers -

Thanks for your replies.
I am correct there is no requirement of my son to be present. He won't speak with them anyway. And he will be in school as he is still in year 11.
I searched around other forums and it states it depends who you speak with at capita and they can be very awkward.
See the letter below in bold. The last line clearly says if assessment can still continue if only person act on behalf is present.
Just confirming. Thanks

As his appointee you will be able to answer the questions on his behalf.superM said:Thanks for your replies.

The PIP assessment was done on Tuesday. How long does it take for assessment report to be sent to DWP.
I had no further messages from Capital or DWP.
