Disabled facilities grant

Hello ,
can someone with knowledge of dfg grants tell me if these are repayable from a deceased parents estate? Mum passed away 9 months ago and had an adaptation of 9700 and as the executor i am a little confused. I understand that anything over 5000 is repayable if the house gets sold within 10 years. It’s been 8. What is a bit foggy here is….does that charge pass to me if i sell the property as i have inherited the house or does the charge go with dear mum and get nullified? Been through probate. Thanks x

I can tell you how things work for me.
I have a disabled facilities grant added to my house. Anything over the £5000 is repayable if i sell within ten years the value goes down a little each year during those ten years. To the best of my knowledge this 'amount owed' is still payable by anyone inheriting my home unless it is my husband or a dependent/disabled child living in the home (not applicable for me).
If you ring adult social care for your county and ask for the on-call OT they should be able to clarify for you.
