The boundary in the back garden.
Yes you are right end terrace is the correct term
I will raise it all with the surveyor
    Thanks.
Curious as to what your earlier boundary dispute could have been?
If you are mid, and they are end, then the true boundary line must be pretty simple to ID to the inch, I'd have thought?

It sounds like they’ll also need a Build Over agreement, which will usually require them to be 50 cm away from a manhole.  The Building Control Officer should pick this up, but, from experience, they can be a little relaxed about it.

Thanks this is useful i imagine they are getting a build over agreement and moving this manholes, it's just how close they will build to mine. I will leave it with surveyor to pick up and make sure to check in with building control.

I just don't want whatever they do to cause a problem that results in ripping up my patio to repair it.

If your manhole is also part of the shared system (lateral drain) then it is also the Water Co’s responsibility, with the same 50 cm requirement.

Yes, the sewer pipe runs across all the gardens parallel to the houses and each garden has manhole cover, next door have two.

This is what I was wondering that okay you can build over the pipe, move the manholes in your garden but in relation to my manhole being close to the boundary they can't build on or next to it because of that 50cm rule and nor can I be forced to move my manhole
