Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

I think I would be a bit wary ..0

I guess it really depends what the voucher is for. If it's for a shop that sells age restricted products etc. then it's understandable.
Was there anything in the terms about the process of claiming the prize?0 -

I've won supermarket vouchers before and never had to provide ID, but again, it would really depend what they had in their terms. Regardless of the prize, if you had to be 18+ to be eligible to enter, they would be well within their rights to request proof.
If it's a well known international company as you say, and the email is definitely from them, I would have no issues with providing the requested ID to claim but to each their own.0 -

If it's a well known international company as you say, and the email is definitely from them, I would have no issues with providing the requested ID to claim but to each their own.I have an issue as its being sent electronically via a form and then being held for X amount of time on a computer when is no need what so ever. If I had won the main prize which was a holiday then yes I would agree that I need to provide ID. But for a £20 supermarket e-voucher its well over the top.I wont be claiming it as I feel its totally over the top. But was interested in what other people thought.Hope for everything and expect nothing!!!

I ve noticed companies are asking for ID more and more. I spoke to someone who works for a big tech company. It's apparently to stop people using fake accounts, just for competitions. They want advertising at the end of the day, from real people.0
