  • depends on your financial situation but me personally i would have done the property up to good standard if you are a decent DIY and have the time and so much easier to do when property is empty  -market it / have 4 open weekend viewing days with it empty and when you get a sale then put your stepson in it until conveyencing and chains are finished .

    Thanks for your input. We totally gutted the property, new kitchen, redecorated, renewed bathroom and painted outside. Still no chain as stepson can move on whenever we need him too. I even have an input on furnishings so can stage house as I wish. Condition of agreement is I can go in clean and stage for viewings. Worked out perfectly 👌
