Cinch’s MOT Error Has Cost Me £1,000 – What Are My Rights?

Sell it elsewhere. WBAC are entitled to value it as they see fit, and no court is going to accept their reduced offer as firm evidence that your car is worth less as a result of an obvious administrative error.0

WBAC look for any reason to knock off money.
Clearly when you took it to them they valued it based on it's actual mileage, and are only knocking off money as they aren't interested in correcting the error as it's too much hassle.
Before taking legal action against CINCH, you'll need it in writing from WBAC that they would have paid the full £XXXX and reduce the price by £960 because of the mileage error.
As above, I'd contact the DVSA if you haven't already done so to get the error changed.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)1 -
And getting it changed should be a clear-cut case ... there's no way at all that the car could do 6k miles in a single day - unless Jules Verne had it.Jenni x0
