Covid-19 vaccinations Princess Cruises ??

Is vaccination / boosters for Covid-19 still a thing for Princess Cruises?

All I can find is a status "As of December 2, 2022 where you needed two jabs and boosters

It doesn't appear as though you need to be 'Up To Date' anymore with Covid Vaccines / Boosters, whatever 'Up to Date' means nowadays?

One of our party of 8 is totally unvaccinated and one had the first two jabs but no boosters. The rest of us have had two jabs and at least two boosters, but NONE this year. We leave in February 2025

The two 'doubtful' members of our party are up-to-date with Yellow Fever, Typhoid / Hep A / Rabies / Tetanus etc.

Any ideas / info ?

The FAQ on their site suggests that vaccination requirements are determined according to destinations, so you'd probably need to obtain tailored information from them according to your planned itinerary, if there's no one-size-fits-all policy.

Check with your booking above, multi-country trips are complex because not only does each country have its own rules but they may vary by method and place of entry, where you've come from etc.
  • Thank You .. appreciated.

An I thinking that ALL Covid jabs are out-of-date by now if you haven't had any boosters in 2023 or 2024, and therefore offer NO protection against catching or passing on the virus now?

May offer some protection in being less ill, if you did catch it. Which in turn may mean that you produce less symptoms and are therefore less likely to pass it on. But broadly speaking you are right to assume it won't do much good. Have you checked on gov.uk foreign travel pages of the countries you would be visiting?

I really cant imagine ANY country accepting mass tourism has Covid regulations anymore. North Korea might.

According to gov.uk, the NHS covid pass is no longer required for travel to ANY country:

The current covid jab is for the current strain of covid doing the rounds. It's works pretty similar to the flu jab in that it pretty much changes each year. Any previous covid vaccinations may well be still effective against the previous strains, but as those strains aren't particularly prevalent, they are unlikely to give you any protection of note. The vaccination was always about reducing the harm not preventing infection.

Definitely worth getting the current flu jab though, numbers of cases in the UK are rocketing so I would expect the same on a ship from the UK.

I suppose a cruise company can impose their own terms and conditions which may be more stringent than what the countries you are visiting require..  Have you contacted Princess to ask what their up to date advice is?
