Cancelled day trip - am I entitled to a refund?

Hi, I’m a forumite newbie and I live on the Isle of Wight. My parents and I were booked on a coach day trip to Bath Christmas Market last Sunday, however due to Storm Darragh no ferries were running that could accommodate a coach. I appreciate the storm was no-one’s fault but the tour company have written to offer a credit voucher or the opportunity to book on next year’s trip, neither of which is of any value to me. I’d rather have a full refund - but am I entitled to one? Please help! Thank you

Have you asked the tour company? Like many things they will offer what they prefer first rather than all the options that are actually available.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Thanks for your reply. I have; was hoping to have some idea of my position in case it turns into a fight!0

What do their terms say? Would normally be in a section talking about force majeure, ie extreme weather, war and other things outside of their control1

Interestingly I cannot find any terms and conditions on their website nor on any of the invoices they sent to me0
