Snap Gers.  I'm still in bed too. 

Baking some cupcakes fot Christmas today and will freeze and then decorate nearer the time so at least the kitchen will be nice and warm  

Apart from that a quiet day today.

Good morning, eventually. A coffee perked me up. Last night was so cold and it's still in minus figures. The predicted temperature for today is 2° so it's time for more jumpers. For the first ever I kept my electric blanket on all night, just very low to keep the cold from seeping into my feet. 

Yesterday was a lovely bright day, no rain with a little breeze, prefect for a wee stroll. Today will, I'm sure, be one for staying indoors. There's plenty in the fridge and I bought fresh eggs from the alpaca farm woman who comes to the exercise class. 

@DP1 - my fingers are crossed that your little one can make it to her school play. Extra hugs all round.

Morning everyone I’ve never been to bed yet well I tell a lie I went at 10 last night then had a dog with a bad tummy all night she’s laid snoring now off to do a cleaning job soon then back to drag myself through the day . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

A quick hello as I’m off to work - it’s chilly. 

For some reason Bdog was actually on my ned last night, he usually sleeps alongside - I slept for 7 hours straight so maybe he’s a good omen! 

Fingers crossed for Littleone’s nativity performance.  Best wishes to everyone else

SIL is now awake but it will be a long road ahead. Think she’s being moved to a respiratory ward today. I am off back to my former town for my WI Christmas meal this evening. DH will drop me off and go have dinner with BIL and will get the latest update. We hope to put our Christmas decs up today (have been saying that for a few days now…)

Morning all

It feels very cold here and it’s very windy from looking out of the window, I have three people coming today and we are off on a festive canal trip which includes mulled wine tea or coffee and a mince pie everyone is really looking forward to it once we get off we will have a picnic lunch with a hot chocolate and then I will take them home.

Dinner tonight will be some slices of roast beef I have in the freezer with chips and peas and some pickles I will need to stop and get some oven chips as the cupboards are very bare till I go shopping tomorrow.

I need to have a quick hoover round this morning and tidy the lounge ready for my guests.

Izzy I hope you manage some sleep later xx

DP1 I hope little one is well enough for the Christmas events xxx

Good morning all.

I didn't get on here yesterday as I decided to do my shopping  thinking the shops would be quieter. How wrong I was. I went to my nearest town and knew it wasn't a good omen when the car park was almost full. It was so busy, I think everyone must have had the same idea. Some shelves were empty, no fish fingers, and I couldn't find a cucumber anywhere. You'd think its almost Christmas lol.

I haven't caught up with yesterday's news yet so will wish everyone a good day. Still some shopping to find homes for.

Didn't have to wait too long for my landline and internet to be restored. Really impressed with my provider. They said it could take up to two days, it was less than one.
Might pop out this morning, nothing needed but I haven't been out in a few days owing to the storm.

Morning folks and thanks GERS.  It looks a bit grey out there but no wind and no rain and it does feel chilly.

I am undecided as to whether to cancel lunch with DF as I feel as bad as ever this morning and been awake since 2.30 coughing. It seems unfair to risk passing it on to DF and anyone else in my vicinity but I don't feel up to it anyway. I'll see how I feel in another hour or so. Yesterday I felt so much better and tackled a few outstanding jobs that have been bugging me. I cleaned the fridge and then ventured into the cold garage to sort out the freezer. A few leftovers that I thought might come in have been binned and I left out a tub of gammon stock and some ham trimmings and made a pan of Pea and Ham soup, 

Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. COXY I hope there is some improvement with your SIL soon, it's such a worry for you all.  IZZIE I hope you manage a nap later and Dp1 fingers crossed your DGD can take part in the concert. Take care all, stay safe xx

Morning All
Weather here Cloudy but the wind has dropped which is good.
Friend due for coffee this morning so tidying up before they arrive.
Saw hospitalised friend yesterday still waiting for his transfer and feeling bored. Hunted out my old Ds for him last night has various games to help.need to see DD today as she is away to London tomorrow and I need to check DGC have all they need as she is not back until Saturday.

DP1 hope LO concert goes well.
TA look after yourself rest and fluids sound the order if the day.
Ruby enjoy the boat trip
Izzie I hope pooch is better and you manage a nap later
