Zara won't refund me

I returned two items I bought online to Zara via their automated system in store and duly received an email receipt. However two days later I received another email stating that ONE item was in 'not in an unworn condition' and that they were returning it. Two days later I received BOTH items back. I've disputed this with them, via their chat, WhatsApp and X to no avail. I discovered a Facebook page devoted specifically to Zara return issues of which there are 700 members. Not all in the UK but most are. There's obviously something wrong with Zaras policies and customer services, if not down right dishonest. It's appalling. I'm now going through the rigmarole of applying for a charge back with my c.c.company. I shouldn't have to do this. There is nothing wrong with the goods I returned.
I'm sure what they are doing is illegal.

Had you worn one or both items before returning?0

Hi. No absolutely not, only tried on, wrapped and returned. That's why I'm so aggrieved, I know that there was nothing wrong with either item. What makes me even more suspicious about Zara is that the 'refusing' email named item A as unsaleable but then in a tweet on X named item B. This supports my theory that something extremely dishonest is going on with Zara.😡0
