Salary Sacrifice and the new NI Rates and Rules

  • I'm juggling around to stay under the 40% tax bracket. It gets more challenging because my net pay is less than it was in 2019 but as long as I can afford it I can't pass up the increased contributions to my pension pot. I'm up to 37% total contributions and even last month moving to 25% employee contributions it has cost me £114.02 in my pocket for an additional £159.59 to the pension. Even considering the future tax treatment it is an unbeatable (almost guaranteed)  return.
With anything, it comes down to net affordability. I'll be gutted if I pop my clogs anytime soon.  :p
