EBay sales cancelled

I bought 2 items 2 days ago from the same seller and paid for them. I’ve just had a message saying the sales have been cancelled. The reason given is
“ Issue with buyer's delivery address”
I don’t see how that can be. The seller will have been given the same address as all the other sellers I’ve bought from. I’ve bought dozens and dozens of items, never had a problem.
Has anyone got an idea about what’s happening here? I’m thinking that maybe the buyer wanted to cancel the sale and used this as an excuse.

Would it be acceptable to contact the seller and ask them? I’ll take the advice of the experienced Ebayers on here.
Thanks

I think you are right that they are using it as an excuse for some reason - better offer or whatever.
However I think I would still message them to ask what the problem with the address is, in case there has been some confusion somewhere.
Then probably report them to ebay if they don't bother replying and you know your address is fine.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Thanks.
I contacted eBay and spoke to a real person. She was very helpful. I told her I have been a buyer for 7 years, most of that time at this address, and no seller has had this problem. I asked if I could contact the seller (I’ve never had a problem like this and wasn’t sure what the protocol is) so I emailed the buyer and await a response. Her excuse is not really valid.
This all seems dramatic for 2 items costing £4 each but it’s the principle
The seller is a business with nearly 400 items for sale.0 -
I’ve decided to let it go. I found both items on eBay that were cheaper and I have won both bids0

I would raise the complaint, the seller should not be abusing the system stating the issue they have not completed the
sale is because of you. If a seller contacted me and said sorry they have none left and they made a mistake then I
would have said no problem.
But your seller is abusing the system.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...1 -
