Hi,
I had a ccj sent to my old address luckily I was given the letter and I paid it within 14 days. I paid the company in full however 2 days later I received a letter saying the bailiffs were going to come to my house, I rang the company and asked them if they could get in touch with the bailiffs to tell them that I had paid which they did. I’ve now received a letter saying I owe an high court enforcement group £205.75 do I need to pay this? Help!!

You only need pay a fee levied by a bailiff if they actually collected your debt.
It looks as though the letter crossed in the post at the same time you paid the debt, in my opinion you don`t owe them anything, but you may want to get expert advice on this to be certain of your position.

Citizens advice believed I didn’t need to pay this company but I’ve been emailing the enforcement company back and forth they were adamant I had to pay them, so I paid the full amount of £205.75 to save the stress and hassle 2 days later an enforcement agent turned up and told me I now owe more money I informed him I had paid before £205.75 2 days prior and he said there must of been a mix up and I don’t owe anymore money. I’ve now received an email from the enforcement company telling me that I owe a further £680.00. Where is the best place to get help??0

I know this is worrying for you, but I`ll ask again, what was the debt for, and how much, and who was the creditor?
Going straight to bailiff enforcement is quite rare, was it a council debt?????
Best to give the full story so we don`t get drip fed answers all the time jodie.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. On the 05/11/24 It got ordered by a court that I had to pay £892 to the company I owed money to and I had to pay the company directly that I had 1 month to pay I phoned the company and paid the full amount (£892 on the 18/11/24)
on the 20/11/24 I received a letter from the high court enforcement group telling me I have to pay them £1,097.75. Also on the 20/11/24 I phoned the court that it went through on the 5th and asked them what I should do as I had already paid the company I owed money to, they told me that I shouldn’t have to pay the bailiff as the company shouldn’t have accepted payment as they would have already known they ordered bailiffs. I emailed the bailiffs telling them I had already paid the debt before I received the letter off them and I didn’t believe I had to pay them, they responded telling me I did have to pay them £205.75. I contacted citizens advice they told me to contact the high court enforcement group and tell them that I had already paid and that I believe I didn’t owe them anything as I paid before I was contacted, so I tried again and they were adamant I had to pay them I told them I would like a detailed bill and I would contact citizens advice. On the 20/01/25 I received an email telling me that it would go up if I didn’t pay that they would send a bailiff which would cost more money so I tried to pay on the same day to save the hassle I emailed them telling them that I’ve tried to pay online and their online system wouldn’t let me I had no reply.. ( I have proof that I tried) I paid £205.75 on the 24/01/25. On the 27/01/25 a bailiff turned up saying I owe £885.75 because he’s had to come out to me I explained that I had already paid the £205.75 he then said to me that the office couldn’t of seen I paid and that I didn’t have to pay anymore that was it, he left. On the 28/01/25 I received an email confirming they had received the £205.75 but I still owe them £680.00.1 -
You still haven't said who the creditor was.If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

No it was solicitors, I think it was because I didn’t reply to the court letter as I no longer lived at the address the letter went to. I filled out an N244 form to cancel the CCJ as advised by the same solicitors when I contacted them to explain that I had moved and didn’t receive the letter.0
