Hi.
The replaceable nozzle - 'seat' - in standard 1/2" ballvalves, any idea what the actual bore sizes are?
They usually come in white and red, with white being the 'high' pressure, and red for 'low'. But I've also seen green, with a 9.5mm bore. I'm guessing that's extra-low?
This is for a Grundfos HomeBoost pumped accumulator, which fills via a standard 1/2" ballvalve. Grundfos say the seat can be replaced to suit different supply pressures. They say the standard fitment has a 3.2mm bore - any idea if that the 'white' version?
EDIT: Yes, it seems the white is ~3mm bore. Any idea what the red is?! To see how it compares with the green.
Ta.

Here you go... You may need to convert from inches to millimetres...

I've just looked at a Delchem one I've got. It is stamped "6x11", but the actual bore size measures 6.2mm. So nominal 6mm.1

Thomas Dudley site numbers are:
White 1/8 inch (3.175 mm) for high pressure
Black 3/16 inch (4.7625 mm) for medium pressure
Red 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) for low pressure
Green 3/8 inch (9.525 mm) for ultra low pressure
There will be manufacturing tolerances on all those numbers, of course; but all will have been imperial measurements when 'invented'.
Choice will be to suit a sensible fill rate with the pipework to the ballcock valve and water pressure available.1 -
Perfect, gents - thank you.
