What to do about unsolicited package from Temu?

Last week I had a verification code sent to my phone from Temu which ignored. Today I have received an unsolicited package from them with my name and address on.

I checked the Temu website, there is an account with my phone number there but I am unable to login to it because the email address listed isn’t mine (as it’s not my account)

Should I be worried about this? And what action should I take? Thanks

Check all your bank and card statements for any activity you don't know about.

For now I'd just keep it safe and do nothing, but I would be somewhat wary of anyone turning up on your doorstep asking for a package delivered in error. There was previously a scam of phones purchased with stolen cards being sent to another address then fake couriers turning up to collect them again claiming they mis-delivered it.

If it's genuinely from Temu then it is likely just cheap tat. Unless the Temu box is a disguise for a phone or something??
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Should I be concerned about the text verification code I received last week from Temu? Did they access that from my phone somehow?

No they simply sent it to your phone. Clearly someone has set up an account in your name, using your actual name, address and phone number.
  • Is there anyway to get the account removed? I doubt Temu would be bothered

    Sounds like "brushing" to me.
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

Sounds like brushing to me too.  The seller obtains the details of a number of potential "customers" from some dodgy mailing list.  They then open accounts and post out cheap shoddy goods.  Once the goods have arrived, they log on to the acounts that they created, and leave a load of five star reviews.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.
