Dreams mattress very smelly

Why wouldn't it be fair? It's fair for them to test it to check that there hasn't been some sort of "overdose" of the flame-retardant chemicals, rather than just accepting your verdict that it's too smelly.RRobins said:
Policy does not allow a change of mind. Do you think that examine on the factory which produced this mattress will be fair? They offer exchange in week time at least. I would put on the bed few bed toppings and sleep until we buy new without gel or foams.Aylesbury_Duck said:
Unless their policy allows a change of mind cancellation, then no, it isn't. Your options are to exchange it as they have offered, or to allow it to be examined, as they've offered.
Why wouldn't you simply take the exchange that's been offered? What would you sleep on if you were able to cancel, anyway?
The salesperson being pushy is irrelevant to these situation. You could have asked to see more products, or walked away, but you willingly chose and bought a mattress.0 -
It is first mattress we bought that smell so badly. And we had many mattresses as we moved few times inside of UK and outside and we had B&B in Canada. Always were able to use at the same night.
Because of storm I can not open wide window, but keep small gap open.Few minutes ego we checked, the mattress itself looks like smell much less, but air still smelly. Hope with God help it will be OK. I opened this topic in despair as 2 nights had bad sleep.0 -
I’ve had 2 new Dreams mattresses, neither have had a funny smell. Neither were memory foam. I wasn’t told not to sleep on it immediately. Is it just the memory foam ones that smell?0

Dreams offer to exchange the mattress under 100 nights guaranty exchange. The man who collected the mattress said that the smell is excess of fire protection liquid. they pour it too much. I think that it is fault and should be return but we have not got energy to argue. Customer service is not as good as I would expect from such big company. Had to call few times to arrange collection, they told us a day but no time was set up . Only after few calls the collection was done. Now we are waiting for new mattress to arrive on the 19th last day before they all go on holiday. Luckily we have airbed, otherwise I do not know what people suppose to do.Murphybear said:I’ve had 2 new Dreams mattresses, neither have had a funny smell. Neither were memory foam. If there is an excessive amount of fire retardant there is little point in getting a refund if the issue has largely been resolved by letting it vent.RRobins said:

You could argue for a small refund on the price, by virtue of you not being able to sleep on it but anything more is unreasonable, IMO.0
