Is there a limit to how much money you can take to and from the EU, in the form of Credit Cards  and Travel Money Cards?

The only limit is how much you possess.

When travelling with a credit card, you're not really taking money with you as such, but simply a facility to borrow someone else's!  But, as above, no limits, unlike the restrictions on cash....

You're only allowed to take 10,000 Euros in cash to the EU (or the equivalent amount in other currencies). Limits on debit or credit cards don't count, they don't care about that.

You can take as much cash as you want, but you must declare it if over 10k Euros.

Long gone are the days you had to record in the back of your passport how much money you were taking out of the country on each trip.

What about these Travel Money cards, where you "top them up" like a PAYG mobile phone, then spend the credit you put on?

It's only really cash that Customs are worried about.
