Risk of legal Action from Credit Investigations Services Ltd

For an unpaid PCN issued by  National Parking Enforcement Ltd- amount now due £170.  Reason Non patron.

Letter from CIS Ltd says " it leaves them with the option of two recommendations to their client:
. 1. Instruct my details are passed for further action.
. 2. Legal action is taken against me.  Litigation resulting in a CCJ.

My question is: at what point can they start adding costs to the £170.

My initial appeal on patron grounds was rejected. I have not corresponded since.

TIA

They already added spurious costs, the PCN was £100 , not that £170, the £70 is a non existent debt collectors fee

Ignore them unless you receive a letter of claim or a court claim

Extra charges are capped in court, so if you lost in court the total to pay would be typically £212 or so ( including the original £100. ) you owe £0 unless a judge says otherwise, in court

    LOL!

Zero risk from CIS. Search the forum!

Never.  CIS are not a solicitor. Read some CIS threads. Yawnworthy empty threats. Ignore.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

...and that's just what I did because I know there is a lot of info about CIS on this forum.

However, my mistake was to copy Credit Investigations Services from the title of this thread, put it between quotes and stick it in the search.
Much to my surprise, only one thread was returned... just this very thread.

After a little head scratching, it's that 's' on the end of Investigations which is the problem.

So unsurprisingly, the moral of this story is that the search facility will return exactly what you ask for... no more... no less.

This must be a lesson to us all - including those with an apt username like @read_the_small_print.    ;)

So not only is spelling important when trying to understand stuff, it also helps enormously in maintaining and expanding the vast knowledgebase that this forum has become.
