UKPA appeal declined. Next step POPLA... Which template to use?

Long story cut short, overstayed 14 mins in a retail car park (Colonnades in Purley Way, Croydon). Complained to the kids play area where we went but they said they have no control over this matter. Appealed to UKPA using the template in the newbies thread. Declined as expected. Now I'm searching the forum for POPLA appeals against UKPA but unable to find any. Will this follow a POPLA appeal of any other companies? If so, I can use one of those as a template but unsure which one to use as there are so many different companies.

I have attached the PCN for reference.

I cannot remember seeing any ukpa popla appeals, so look for other recent ones and adapt the closest match

There are NO popla appeal templates on here, so no point looking for one

Instead, look at the Popla decisions thread in announcements and the recent cases from this year only, starting at the end, working backwards

Thanks for your quick response. I will do just that and come back here if I need any assistance orchestrating my ~100 page POPLA appeal 😆

I wouldn't bother. It's POFA-compliant so if you were my relative, I'd say do nothing.

I mean, you can do it to cost them money and hope that might not contest it because of being short staffed over the Xmas break but you won't actually win an overstay case at POPLA unless you can show the signage is inadequate.

  • I outfoxed them a few months ago, this exact car park.  So much so they made a change to their signage (there's a big sign on the way in now) but there's still loopholes.

Message me for specific help to this car park.

So what would you advise my next steps be?

So if I do nothing as you suggested, what would the next point at which I have to react to their threatening letters? Would it be when I receive a “letter before action” or something similar?

A Letter of Claim   ( same as an LBC   ), and/or a court claim
