Budgeting in 2025

I do love a new year!
Anyone planning to do anything different with their budget next year?
I bought a house this year, due to expenses and up front costs, and refunds and reimbursements I 'broke' my pots and put it all in one place. I've very much felt like I've been winging it by not having, for example my Christmas pot.
So for 2025 I am going to restart my pots, one for Christmas, one for car insurance/services/repairs and one for work fees/subscriptions. I am also going to redirect the money that was saving for a deposit 50/50 between mortgage overpayment and boiler/roof/windows fund.

Moved away from credit card use for daily spend to using debit card.
Found I had too many pots going so slimmed down. Ensures I'm keeping more in my savings accounts earning more interest2
