Insurance renewal after accident

My son's car was involved in an accident. He wasn't actually driving at the time, his friend was. The 3rd party didn't claim on the insurance. My understanding is that the 3rd party are pursuing the actual driver.
So, my question is, when coming to look for quotes, do I state that 1, he was involved in an accident. 2, he wasn't the driver. 3, no claim was filed?
I have tried to speak to the insurance company, but the bot sends me around in a circle!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Is your son's friend insured to drive the car? If so, is that as a named driver on his policy? Driving Other Cars on another policy? Has his insurance confirmed they are covering it?labrador24 said:My son's car was involved in an accident. He wasn't actually driving at the time, his friend was. If the friend was uninsured to drive his car then his insurers are the RTA insurers so it has the potential to get messy, and expensive.0 -
If the friend was driving on his own insurance then your son wasn't involved at all
