Any ideas how to get the latest sky+ box for cheap?
It sells for £99 on sky's website with an additional £30 installation charge, £70 on ebay and until Christmas eve, Currys had a special in-store offer selling it for £29.00. Any idea if it is available in deals periodically? If yes, where to hunt for it? Thanks!

Thanks very much for sharing your experience. Yes, Sky does offer a deal like that; unfortunately, I can't switch over everything as my BT contract is still valid for the next year or so. There is another complication - we can't get Virgin where we live as it is a non cabled area and therefore this cancellation threat to sky may not work as well. Another complication of living close to the city in London.;)0 -
is it possible to use a sky+ box with a FTV card?0

If you use a Freesat by Sky card in a Sky+ box, it will work like a normal box. Some people have reported that Sky+ features can be enabled for a charge of £10 a month but unclear how to order this. Sky+ features are free with any package and a single mix costs £16 a month.0

Thanks people - back to my original question:

There seem to be deals anywhere and everywhere, although most of the good ones seem to be through sky direct, playing one provider off another, or as poster above says - threatening to leave if you already have it.0
