I don't know* why people get hung up on the word "customised".
As others have already pointed out, the regs actually exclude items "... made to the consumer’s specifications or [which] are clearly personalised ..."
Neither of those are the same as "customised".
* I presume it's because traders insincerely try to fob consumers off with the false statement that customised orders can't be cancelled...1 -
Thanks everyone for the helpful advice and information. Unfortunately the seller has not responded to any request to returns the items, not even replying to tell me to get lost. I'll be contacting the bank to do a chargeback and then decide what to do if that doesn't work.0

A chargeback is just like stopping a cheque in the old days. There are certain circumstances where the banking rules allow it, however it makes no judgement on the rights and wrongs of the dispute.Keldin said:Thanks everyone for the helpful advice and information. I'm assuming this is a UK retailer you have purchased from? (Rather than something with a co.uk address at the end)Keldin said:Thanks everyone for the helpful advice and information. No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
surely the OP has 14 days to return even if change of mind? Return it, if no refund then chargebacksheramber said:

As @sheramber There is no chargeback for change of mind. Or any chargeback that covers your consumer rights on a change of mind return.Olinda99 said:

1. how much £££ are we talking about?
2. Why did you want to return them?
3. Did you clearly inform the seller within 14 days of delivery to you that you were exercising your statutory right to cancel the contract, or did you tell them something else, or did you tell them nothing?
4. If you did tell the seller that you were exercising your statutory right to cancel, did you return the goods within 14 days of telling them?
5. Can you provide a link to the seller's T&Cs?1
