Moving a SIPP

Hi
I currently have a SIPP with Curtis Banks which is for a Discretionary Fund administered by Barclays Wealth. I'm not particularly happy with the fund performance or the fees being levied on the account and would like to get a comparison.
Is there a site that can provide the information I need, and if I decide I want to switch can I do this myself or do I need to go through an IFA?
Thanks for your help

Monevator do both a comparison of platforms for SIPPs ISAs and GIAs and also a cheapest fund listUsually you can do this yourself by going to your chosen platform and reuesting a transfer in, although I have not heard of Curtis Banks so don't know their policy

Opening a new pension on line us easy nowadays and plenty you can do yourself.
You then ask the new pension provider to transfer in your CB pension, No need to tell CB.
They might have an exit fee, most have stopped charging these though.
The only 'tricky' part is when the money arrives at the new provider you have to decide how to invest it, although there are plenty of ready made low cost funds available ( and high cost ones).1
