Morning everyone
Cold and frosty here this morning.
I sent time yesterday moving furniture and taking things out of my bedroom as DD is going to paint it on Thursday. I still have the things to take off the walls in the bathroom and then I'll be ready - I'm looking forward to it being done and have new curtains and duvet cover in anticipation.
No work today - I need to go for some bits at the shops and then sit with dad for a bit while my mam goes to an appointment. I don't need much as I have a Tesco delivery tomorrow morning. I might pop into town this afternoon too and get the last of my Christmas presents.
Little one went home from school coughing yesterday, so DD took her up to our little hospital and she got steroids...which made her go instantly hyper, she was still bouncing about at 11pm. So she'll miss school today but hopefully will be back tomorrow .
Right better get on...hope everyone has a good day
TA - excellent news about your friends husband x9 -
Morning all, thanks for the early start @RedRuby1231 have a fantastic time xx
I’ve been for a run this morning which was fresh and definitely perked me up! Need to do the AI interview shortly but first need to dry my hair!
Some leaf blowing/sucking will be occurring today. DH has purchased the new gadget, so hopefully it won’t disappoint.I bought stamps yesterday for the 20 odd cards I still send and it cost me £23.50! Luckily I didn’t need to buy any cards (and won’t next year either) as I have enough. Can see why folks prefer to do a donation to charity.
SIL is still asleep. Has had a transfusion and dialysis and the ABs are working. Think they will try to wake her later today.Good news about your friends’ DH TA x
Hugs SO xx
Have a good day all

Hi everyone,
Things are gradually getting back to normal here. Esben has gone to school for his first full day in over a week. Esther also seems a lot better. I am recovering but still in my knees from a combination of virus and lots of childcare.
Anyway, Steve and I are going up to Yorkshire for a few days, I hope to manage some rest.
I hope Ruby has a great time.
Hugs to anyone I'll or struggling at the moment.
Have a good day.8 -
Morning all and thanks for today's carol @-taff. This morning we have bright blue skies and sunshine so I'm off to collect my click & collect Xmas tree. Like @TA, I want to give the living room a good clean first before it goes up. My old tree and a lot of baubles are on the CS pile since I won't need them anymore but I've kept a few small ones for the new tree plus two strings of lights that can festoon the mantlepiece and hearth. I'm thinking of making a wreath using the larger sentimental ones but that might be a job for next year!
The parcel I was expecting (cross stitch embroidery kits) came at teatime yesterday and I also got my £10 Xmas bonus. That's earmarked for a box of chocolates, a treat to me from me.Other jobs included two loads of washing, trawling through yet more photograph albums and shredding the ones I don't want - mainly people I don't know, since some of the albums were inherited from my parents and there's no-one left to ask. It struck me how bad DF was at taking photographs - blurred images, heads chopped off etc, that kind of thing!
Other than collecting the tree I don't have any real plans for today but that's OK since I expect I'll be pooped anyway by the time I get back. Plus I want to call in at Homebase to look for a new lampshade for one of the living room table lamps.
Easy tea tonight - fish fingers, red pepper & pea pasta salad (made yesterday) and a bit of green salad on the side.
@carolbee - Enjoy your day out.
@-taff - Glad the cat poo doesn't feature in your day!
@silver-oldie - I'm so sorry you haven't heard from your DS. My DD is conspicuous by her absence too so I know what it's like.
Must dash - the sooner I get going, the sooner I'll be back! Here's hoping the sleep fairy visits the wide awake club members and that everyone gets done what they need/want to do today. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.8 -
Hello all, we have showers here and it's quite dark and dreary. I didn't have a very good night last night, I think I swapped with TA in the sleepless club.
Yesterday I did all my xmas cards and have some ready for posting, I even wrote a letter to an old friend in Northants and put it in their card. We've lost 3 people from our card list this year so I'm down to about 20 in total now and thankfully only 8 needed stamps.
I had a parcel delivery for DD yesterday, only 8 this time, but DD called in for them after work and stayed for tea. I had cooked chicken chow mein which we all enjoyed. It was lovely to spend some time with her as we haven't seen enough of her lately and normally the DGC are in tow taking centre stage. Think they come to nanny's just to raid the biscuit and cake tins or the fridge, they're always hungry !
Today I'll pull out our tree and decorations from their hidey hole and steam clean the kitchen floor. I think I'll have to put the light on as it's so dark. Enough waffling, hope you have a good day whatever you are doing. Hugs to the poorly or sad ones.
Redruby have a lovely time.
Snoozer hope you enjoy your break
Take care all
nan xx

Good afternoon
Very dull and foggy. Yesterday was brilliant sunshine, so I went for a walk to get some vit. D, then got stuck into housework and laundry.
Today DH says he is going to put the lights up outside. It's a little competition with the neighbours to decorate outside. Meanwhile I'm going to write my xmas shopping list as theres more gaps than food in the freezer now.
Ruby, enjoy your break, have a lovely
SO and YL, my son is the same, I never hear from him.
Sorry I can't remember everyone elses news, so I will just wish everyone a good day.
