Morning All
Thanks for the very early stary Ruby, have a great time.
It's cold this morning, the car seems to be iced up so I'll have to defrost it before I go to work so mustn't spend too long faffing about this morning!
I went to meet friends after work yesterday, good chat and a very nice haloumi wrap with chips for my dinner, bit of a slow drive home with torrential rain, I was glad to get in.
I've been up for hours, sleep was not forthcoming last night so hope it's not too busy at school. Lovely couple of hours on my own yesterday getting lots of little jobs out of the way. The children had a great time at the panto and it was all free from a local charity.
Lots of photos of DD and family on their holiday, they seem to be having a really good time but I really miss the little one!
Hope everyone is well and you have a good day. Take care. XX12 -
Morning allHave a lovely time Ruby. Barcelona is on my list of places to go.Chilly this morning. Found a butcher about 20 minutes drive away that has a very good reputation so going there this morning to see what I can find. I'm ashamed to say I haven't been into one for years and years. Supermarkets seem to have taken over round here as butchers are very few and far between. Will get my Christmas card list out this afternoon and make a start.Hope everyone has a good day x11

Morning all. Ruby is long away and will be enjoying her breakfast and fizz by now.@Camelot - I'm only a little envious of your DD and little one's holiday in Morocco. My closest friend is in Lanzarote just now enjoying the fabulous weather, I could really use some sunshine. My consolation was that last night was clear enough for the stars to be visible again.Yesterday I did a quick trip north for vegetable shopping, I'll tackle the soup making tomorrow. Today I have a meeting in the afternoon, in fact I've got some every day this week which I'm not happy with. I've unexpectedly take on more responsibility with the charity I volunteer with, but only on a temporary basis as it something I don't want to do. Anyway, for now it's my burden.Along with my first Christmas card I received the £10.00 'bonus' from the government 😀 added to which I think that the Scottish government are sending £100.00 winter fuel payment at some point. Added to that is a small premium bond win so I'll be fine this year. 😏
Keep warm everyone.12 -
Morning all, off to London today to visit Dennis Severs house in Spitalfields and a concert this evening
Have a good day all

Morning folks and thanks RUBY.. have a fabulous time. I hope all the wonderful little Tapas bars are still around. Nom nom!
I had a marginally better sleep last night but I'm sure I will be back in the sleepless club tonight. I had a lovely lunch with DF yesterday and I am hopeful we may be back to our regular Tuesday meets again. She can't get over the improvement in her DH's attitude since the med change. Gone is his aggressiveness towards her (and others) and he is almost a pleasure to be around. He is still shaky and a bit confused but she can put up with that.
I have promised myself that I will give the lounge a good bottoming today in readiness for putting up some decs at the end of the week. That may or may not happen! Have a lovely day if you can folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or lonely and thanks TAFF for resuming our daily dose of Christmas carols again. Take care all and stay safe xx

Good morning, it's frosty here, yesterday was blooming cold.
Have a wonderful time Ruby.
Chrisca we've got a 'proper' butcher, and his shop is always busy. The prices are higher than the supermarkets but it's worth it.
We put the tree up yesterday, and various other decs, I've got some lighted pictures which are nice. We didn't bother last year because we were going to Australia, we left on the 14th December. Wish we were going this year.
Not much on today, just the usual stuff.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.10 -
Morning everyone have a lovely time Ruby I remember going to Barcelona years ago for a day trip I think we were on holiday in Salou we took the kids to the football stadium and the magic fountains that was many moons ago . Gers well it comes in threes it’s the first year I would have got the winter fuel payment of course they have stopped it I know what you mean about nice warm sunshine. We have a hard frost here I’m off out to a cleaning job soon I need to call for eggs when I’m finished but other than that I will be back in the house I need to write some Xmas cards this afternoon I don’t do many but some need to be given out this week as I won’t see them until the new year . There’s some beef left of Sunday I will do some Yorkshire pudding and veg later. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Morning! Cold this morning, no idea if it's frosty yetThe sweep came on Monday and since then the fire is not behaving. It just seems to struggle to stay lit. Most odd. Going to see a friend in a few hours so I think I can squeeze in some allotment this morning. I will also drop off my wood ash there in case anyone wants it. I'm not flattening any cat poo today, just fyi
that did make laugh y'all....

Good morning all
Thank you for the start @RedRuby1231 , have a lovely time.
TA so pleased for your friend and her husband.
Just put the bin out, it's so cold, but it's dry.
Nothing much happening here.
Another year and I haven't seen or heard from my DS so I've decided just to send a card and money to my DGS for Christmas.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Morning all
Thick fog here, though there often is and then nothing as you go down the hill.Ruby - have a great trip
Re butchers - we have an amazing one in the next town but my you have to take a deep breath to pay the bill! However the meat is always good with no waste, and we don’t eat a huge amount of meat anyway so it’s worth it.Hair cut this morning then there’s DMum to take and fetch from the hospital as she needs a blood transfusion - the chemo drugs deplete white white blood cells she gets three weeks on the tablets and two weeks off, but gradually the levels get lower and she needs a top up every few months.Loads of other chores to get on with and some Christmas wrapping needed too
take care all
