RM48 tracking not progressed since Friday 29 November

I sent a parcel early Friday 29 November and took to the Post Office.  However the tracking has not altered since then when it said it had been accepted.  Should I be concerned yet or might it have been delayed updating?  The buyer has not contacted me to query non-delivery yet.

I was expecting a parcel tracked 48 which sat in Milton Keynes for 4 days. When it did arrive I did not receive an alert but luckily I was home. To be honest think the royal mail tracking is a farce at this time of year.

This is why I stopped using Tracked48 - same would happen to me. Once it took around 5 days to update and then started moving! At other times I would drop it off, and the next time it was scanned was at the recipients delivery office - nothing inbetween!
 
Local Post Office told me that Tracked48 are given a lower priority and sit in the sorting office for days before they are scanned. 
I use Tracked24 now - it's a lot more reliable.

Thanks for the replies.  I guess I must have been lucky with Tracked 48 in the summer but this has definitely put me off and I will go for Tracked 24 in future.  I was going to pull any remaining listings till after Christmas anyway due to possible delays so I just hope this gets through eventually!

The price difference between RM24 and RM48 puts me off as I sell in some competitive categories and people just don’t want to pay extra. RM24 is going to be faster purely because it is based on 1st class whereas RM48 is 2nd class , it’s no more than that. 

RM has warnings on several sites stating that there are delays to all post and expect this to carry on until Christmas. I’ll continue using RM48 and standard 2nd for LLs but will close up my eBay shops at least a week before Christmas Eve to avoid all those buyers who buy on the 23rd at 5pm and message the next day to say it hasn’t arrived and it is for a Christmas present.
