Questions on OneDrive

Options
Hi, I've previously asked questions on this topic but felt it better to start a new question.

I am helping a lady out and have been working from my home.  The lady has created a shared folder in onedrive.    She has sent me an email with a link to this folder.

My Questions are:

1.   I need to know how I can access this shared folder in onedrive, without having to search through the emails and then clicking on the link, just to view the files for editing etc.

2.   If I create a new document, how do I create this document in her shared folder in onedrive?

3.  Am I correct in thinking to use this Shared Folder she has created, it would be far simpler for me to sign into her onedrive account and then edit the documents?

For information, I have my own Microsoft Paid Subscription and so does she.   I do want to keep my own documents private so I'm feeling a bit nervous about using onedrive.

Many thanks for any advice.

So is this a personal OneDrive subscription or a business OneDrive?

Do you have OneDrive running on your machine?

Most obviously rather than searching through emails is that you'd bookmark the page. Not used personal OneDrive for things like this but once you are in the shared folder if you click on the 3 dots (...) you may have the option to add a shortcut to your MyFiles.

For creating a new document you either create it locally and upload it or if its a MS document then you can click new item, whatever file type you want, then open the new document to populate it.

It wouldn't be simpler for you to log in as her, ignoring the breaches of any sensible good practices, but if she has 2FA setup you'd need to be on the phone to her or such to pass over the codes etc.

I'm more used to the Business version so I typically have 4-5 instances of OneDrive running on my computer, my one personal one, the others are for the clients I am working at the time but as theirs are business licences I am a used in their domain and so have a discrete log in for each of them within their domain. They cannot go further up the folder structure so none of my private or cross client data leakage unless I make a mistake and put something in the wrong folder.

You open up your OneDrive and click on 'shared with me' and it will be listed there.
You can add files to any shared folder and everyone it is shared with will be able to see it. Create your file on your PC and then upload it to the file; after that you can both edit it online
If she is willing to give you her sign-in details to her own OneDrive then she is a fool - it's supposed to be secure and private. If you have her sign-in then you can see everything in there, not just what she hares with you
to keep your own documents private, just don't share them

Fabulous, thank you so much.  I understand now.

You should be able to add the Shared Folder to the OneDrive sync so that it appears as a Directory in File Explorer to save to -
