Hello,
Me and my ex husband divorced 20 years ago. We agreed on him paying me half of his Army Pension( No Court order) . Usually paid on the 3rd of each month. I have not had a payment today. Can he just stop paying, We were married for 20 years. Thank you in advance.

Did you get divorced without a financial order then as it doesn't make sense why you'd both agree for him to share the pension 'off the record'?
If there's not a financial order, I guess you could go to court and open that can of worms.
If there was a financial order but the pension was not included, I'm more surprised he made these payments at all, even more so for 20 years.Know what you don't1 -

Was what the payment to represent? A sharing of the asset? Some form of maintenance? What their a timescale it would be paid?
If you've some form of binding agreement thats evidenced then clearly he can stop payment, based on the fact he has, but it may represent a breach of the agreement and may be something that can be enforced but there are lots of questions before anyone can assess your prospects of success.1 -
Can I ask, is your ex husband definitely still alive? It is possible that if he died (but you weren't informed) that this is the reason your payments have stopped - as he will no longer be in receipt of his pension, and so cannot pay you.7

It’s only been a day, so you might want to give him a little more time to see if it appears later in the week. There may be banking issues for example. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.6
